I personally would not have the edge, but that is just me. And hey it's your cash.

I have the edge. I like it for what's available to monitor. I will not go to level 3(too cheap to buy 91/93 octane).
I would suggest you search the threads and view all the available information. I purchased my Edge($318.00) before the price increases.
The dash pod was another plus. I have not found a pod for the new MSD devices nor the Xcal II.

Just my $ .02

I have the Edge and it is exactly what I wanted, does exactly what I need. Had it almost a year now, and about 16,000 miles. If your truck was guzzling gas and the Edge solved that, then possibly you will save enough gas money to pay for it, otherwise won't happen. I experienced just a slight improvement, but that was not why I bought it. One thing to note for the guys that can't see paying the price for premium gas in order to run level 3, I get over 10% better mileage out of level 3 running 93 octane over level 2, which more than pays the difference in the price of a fillup. I run level 2 around town for it's low end torque, level 3 on the highway for it's upper rpm performance. I love the thing, would not want to be without it.
