Hehe - if they are STILL doing that - they are gonna be in a world of hurt if Edge finds out.

By posting this, you pretty much guaranteed they will, too - Edge monitors these forums...

I don't know if it means anything but the package for the edge says 2004-2006 on it and I own a 2003, But all the stickers on the box say 97-03 and it is the 2100 model. I am not sure if it is my truck or the edge. It won't turn on when I try to update on the computer or my truck.

I would then call Edge, tell them about this and have them send you the correct tuner for your truck. Before giving up on them, give them a call and just see if they can make you happy. I just installed my Edge 2 days ago and I am very happy! What a difference from stock! Also, I have chosen not to update it as after I installed it, everything is working fine. I figure, why mess with it if it isn't broken. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted with what you end up doing!

Is there any way to check if the obd port works in my truck I got some wires wet a while back and everything seemed to work but I am wondering if this could be the problem. I am also worried that if I send this one back to edge I will not be able to get my money back from autoanything if it turns out to be my truck in the end and I need to return it.

Outside of taking it back to the dealer, I'm not sure? Unless you know someone that has the stock tuners that dealers use to diagnose your truck? Good luck!

Maybe I will go up to the ford dealer on monday and see what they say. It would be a good start to know if it is my truck or the edge.

Exclamation Omg!!!!

I just went online to price the Edge they did go up, thank goodness I bought mine 2 weeks ago. I got mine through AutoAnything.com for $318 w/ a coupon and now they are priced $449 and you can't use coupons on them anymore. Isn't that unfair marketing or something? By not allowing companies to price the Edge at what they choose to I thought that there was something against doing that.
All I know is thank goodness I got mine when I did.

I just went ahead and returned my edge. If it would have worked I would have kept it but I didn't feel like going through all the trouble. I had some unexpected bills come up this month too and I kinda need the money back anyways. In the future I plan on getting a custom tune now since the edge is so expensive.

Holly McCrap in the box!

I procrastinated and prices went up over $100!
I was thinking the previous discounts were becuase of a new version comming out but the same version has the price hike and no one is discounting anymore. Dang and I sold my Predator to buy one of these.

Exclamation Made A Call

I called the place that I purchased my Edge from to ask them why the price hike and they told me that it was because of Edge's new standard price. He said that if you buy a unit somewhere that is discounted, that the dealer is not an authorized dealer of Edge and that Edge will not warrant the units. So be careful of where you guys buy your Edge in the future if you do.

No longer works. I ordered one last week, got an email this week saying the order didn't work. I went on their site and my order dissapeared and the price went up. Have not hear back from them since. May have to file with paypal for a refund.

LOL. I was gonna get an Edge and wanted to get my rims first. I guess I will be looking a other tuners. Thats ridiculous to price it like that. I wonder if they will lose any buisness or just make more money. Are they that good? Maybe its best that I didn't get one then.

I received mine luckily I was included in the backorders but don't expect a discount from anyone anymore. Even Ebay, which is the only discount place left is going for about $415 + shipping.

I had a Diablo Predator and it was the fastest loading of all the handhelds but the Edge 1/4 the time to load or faster. All of them have similar options for custom tune, trans shiftness, tire size, etc but the thing that made me trade was the gauges and being able to change maps quickly and easily for towing. The Predator I kept at home for fear of theft, so I could never change settings away from the house.

I am hoping they follow through with the Edge controlled nitrous option!

Right now, I feel the prices are high because everyone wants one since the prices were raised. After the hype dies down a bit, I'm sure you'll see some deals on eBay. It may not be for a while, but I'm sure you'll be able to pick one up eventually for $350 or so. Now used ones? I just don't know. Personally, I myself would not want a used one, but there are some folks who indeed have bought a used one with no issues. Guess time will tell.
