I just got my new Edge programmer installed in my '06 SCAB W/ 5.4. Everything appeared fine until I turned the alerts option on. Now, everytime I start the engine, I get an alert stating SPARK 16383 or around there. I tried all the settings w/ same response, so I went back to stock and used the Edge just for gauges, same alert. Alert only stays on until fast idle kicks down, then everything is great. Is this something to do with the "cold start" program. Anyone else have this problem? Otherwise the Edge rocks.

 

I have not seen that with the EDGE on my 06 SCREW. You should call EDGE.

I have the exact same problem you described. I just turned the alerts back off. Hope you find the solution and post the fix.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to call Edge on Monday and see what they have to say. I love the tuner, just a little nervous about the alert. I'll keep you posted.

 

There is already a post about that problem. I think they said something about the edge picking up the sinal from the computer before the engine actually starts. Thats why you get the alert. The post said they leave the alerts off. Do a search you'll find it.
