Sorry Pearl, but Nope.

This is the link you want:

The MODELS tab:

http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f...SECTION=MODELS

Clearly states a 5.4L 3V only on an FX4.

You have a choice on an XLT, but NOT an FX4.

If you in fact Do have a genuine FX4 with a 4.6, take it back as you got ripped.

Or - someone played a joke & put FX4 stickers on it

Easily solved - post a pic of your invoice or window sticker ..

My sig say Fx4 becasue it is and I was told my flow would give me 10hp and K&N another 10-15hp and the edge about 35hp. I havent dynod it so I dont know for sure all I know is that my truck is running a little better because of the edge but not sure if the CAI and Exhaust helped me any in horsepower. My flows do sound tuff though.
You bought a truck without knowing what kind of engine was in it?!?!?!? Sounds like you're the kinda guy the dealer loves to see walk in.

If you believe those HP gains, I've got some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you, it's cheap too!

Even if you haven't dyno'd there are plenty of people here who have, and have posted their results. For the love of God, do some research!!!

lol ok stop busting my b*lls I getting my s*&*t together here, I have a 2006 4X4 Supercrew with a 4.6L when i said fx4 I figured the f standed for four (4) sorry. Hey thats why I am on here to learn some of the terms in this truck world...remember I was a Mercedes type of dude didnt have to worry about adding Hp or any extra mods to my car just came fast stock. only wish i would have done some truck research before I bought my truck so that I would have gotten a 5.4L or the new 5.7 tundra. Can you imagine adding mods to the tundra geeez almost scary.

How much did you spend on all those mods? sounds to me all you had to do was buy a toyota tundra with the 5.7L 381hp@5000 rpm 401lb-ft @3600 rpm and you would have saved yourself allot of money....lol

I got the truck for 26K thats about 10K less than a tunda so I have spent about 7500 on mods so thats still less than a tundra. and my truck looks better.

congrats on your research Now compare the towing with the 5.4 vs the 5.7 If you wanted a fast truck you could have saved a ***** load of money and just bought a lightning Sounds like we may have a tundra troll if all you care about is speed then why would you buy a 4X4 with a 4.6

I don't think he is a troll, just think he is not very well informed. I tried so hard to point him in the right direction when he started doing mods, and he still for some reason went with K&N, Flows, and an Edge tuner...

Wow i really pushed some buttons here.... geez my bad... but the only reason I got the 4X4 in the first place was because i needed a truck and I wanted one that looked good so I got the 06 4x4 not caring about engine size just price, I was trading in my Mercedes so I was a bit upside down and I guess the 4.6l was cheaper then the 5.4l..... so any how started looking on the f150online.com site to learn more about my truck and terms. When I started reading all the mods ppl were adding I got pumped and started adding mods. I had already added the Flows before I got on this site just becuase in these parts of the world flows are the way to go. I do regret getting them wish i would have gone with the Magna but thats history. I called tp to get the AF1 and was told they didnt have any for my engine size and the only other cai that did fit the 4.6l was the s&b but that was on hold so I went with the K&N 77series and beleive me it looks good. and the edge was just something I felt was going to get me more hp and look good doing so. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.
