Dyno Results (Round 2): TP 91 Oct Tune / 3.5" AF1 / Maggie SIDO

Hey Guys,

To make a long story short, all the shops around the Twin Cities in Minnesota are either closed for the winter or couldn't fit a supercrew F150. That is except for Hi Tech and they were busy moving their shop to a HUGE facility that will allow them to do multiple full builds on cars and all sorts of performance work. I won't go into details as it's not what this thread is about.

So after my pig rich issues with the wrong AF1 for my tunes, TP sent the new AF1 tube and tunes right away. As I said, it took awhile for Hi Tech to get up and running, that is why I couldn't get dyno and data logging info right away.

Here are the truck specs:

Troyer XCal2 Tuning - 91 Oct perf tune
Magnaflow SIDO catback
Magnaflow 3 inch resonator in front of the catback
AF1 3.5"

2005 5.4 3V engine
3.73LS
4WD
Supercrew

Conditions:
50.12 degrees Fahrenheit
29.08 in-Hg
Humidity: 8%
SAE: .98

These four graphs are all 3rd gear pulls. The first two are the recent HP and TRQ 3rd gear pulls, and the second two are a comparison between the original 3rd gear pulls and the more recent 3rd gear pulls with updated tuning. Conditions stayed very similar between the two runs, so there weren’t any drastic temp changes.

Graph #1: HP/Engine Speed

Graph #2: TRQ/Engine Speed

Graph #3: HP/Engine Speed Comparison (Original Run in Red, Updated Run in Blue)

Graph #4: HP/Engine Speed Comparison (Original Run in Red, Updated Run in Blue)

So your only mods are exhaust AF1 and the Xcal2? did you adjust the Xcal2 after the first 2 runs?

I think the numbers are good for your mods

Peak numbers are pretty good, right about where I am ~ 255/320.

I'll bet you could even pick up a little more if Mike got his hands on your truck. Perhaps a DynoDay?

For your mods your making great power. Did you not gain Hp & Tq with the 3.5?

Yea, without seeing the graph and going by those numbers they look excellent for a 91 octane tune and only those 2 mods.

Same mods, Duke...

260/326

I'm not sure what you're expecting but, I'm fairly certain that you're close to maxing out with those mods. Those are *solid* numbers with two mods. The only thing different on my setup versus yours is a Magnaflow SISO.

What are you expecting?

Lost it actually. It's not a big deal, the A/F is better but still a little off.

The 3.5" should perform better then the 3.0" and 3.25" AF1. The SIDO should also help over the SISO. Like I said though it's not that big of a deal. I'm not worried about peak, but rather a consistent A/F ratio, and steady even HP and TRQ curve.

It'll be easier to see what I mean tomorrow on the graphs. I keep trying to upload them and it errors out so I'll just try again at work tomorrow.
