3 custom tunes?
Guys,
In a previous post I mentioned that I just got an xcal2 for my 2002 F-150 (which I am selling) last month during the group buy, not knowing that I was going to buy a new truck 2 days ago. (impulse buy) My question is I already have the xcal2 device and just need new tunes. Do you have to purchase all 3 tunes or can I just get 1 or 2 tunes at a discounted price? I'm just trying to save money since I just spent all that money and now can't use the tunes...

You need to contact us directly for that info - we're the ones who did the tuning, so it's us you need to talk to about this.
And congratulations on your new F-150, by the way - wow, that was a surprise!
You'll love what our tunes do for those new body style trucks, as they have even more room for improvement than the previous generation via tuning. And in the 4R75-E tranny you have now, you don't need to do things like valve body modifications to get shifting firmness levels like you needed to on the last generation of trucks with the 4R70W's or the 4R100's - these new trannies work much better via the PCM controls.
Anytime something like this happens, where we just tuned you and you get a new vehicle, we do the tuning for the next vehicle at a reduced price, so you;ll be able afford for us to do a new set of 3 tunes for your 2006 F-150, don't' worry.
Just give us a cal and tell my staff that I asked you to call us about this, and they will get with me and I'll give them a special price to quote you for this, OK?
Thanks, & talk to you soon - and enjoy that nice new F-150!

Hey Brian,
I got an email from this site's server saying you tried to PM me, but that my PM box was full or something - I don't' even see PM's other than maybe once every few months or so.
At any rate, I have not seen that PM, I just know you tried to send one - I suggest emailing us at slaes@troyerperformance.com and my people will get that email to me and I'll get you an answer, or give us a call when you get a chance, OK?
Calling is fastest, email is next quickest (but can still take 7-10 days), and PM's I almost never see in a timely manner, just FYI so you;ll know!
Thanks for trying to communicate with me & I hope to speak with you soon!

No problem, I got with Anita this morning and got the answers to my questions. Also I got my forms back to you guys late last night. Looking forward to the new tunes! Thanks again for everything...

Well,
I went ahead and added the AF1 intake to my tunes order, after reading so many posts. I still really wasn't able to find a post that showed what the 'average' gains are for hp and tq with the xcal2 93 perf tunes and AF1 combo. I will most likely go with a magnaflow exhaust later on down the road and hopefully that won;t require changes to a tune....

By the way, on the AF1, what size did you go with? Did Troyer tell you what to expect from the CAI?

Just do it now - you know you are going to do it anyway. Why wait?

No money for the exhaust now, but I will do it before the year is up... I have to do some research first. I want SISO but have other questions I need answered. (that's for another post) I ordered the 3.25" tube and no I am not sure of the gains to be expected from these tunes and AF1 combo on 'average'. Maybe someone will chime in.

Well, hell... I canceled the AF1, just going to get the tunes at this time. It's not worth the argument with the wife right now... Guess I can't push it, I just bought this new truck out of the blue and the new tunes and she didn't really complain...
