Just installed XCAL2 and AF1! Thank You Mike T.

Well the 3.25" AF1 intake took no time at all to install, maybe an hour or so and then I loaded up my tunes and I cannot get the smile off my face I am only running the 87 performance tune right now and it is spinning these 35's real nice. It feels like I have a shift kit in my truck now, those guys and gals know what there doin over at Troyer Performance. Thanks a million (p.s. I'll post some pictures by tomorrow)

Glad to know someone else has the big grin. Loaded my tunes last week and hope to have the AF1 in February. The tunes really make a great performance improvement.

When did you send in your worksheets and get the Xcal?

I sent in the worksheets in the beginning of November and got the XCal in the beginning of december and once I gave them the strategy, I got the tunes a week later. I was shocked on how fast it was, because I was under the impression it would take months before I would get it.

Congrats. I just got my tunes and 3.25 AF1 installed today and it doesn't feel like a fly by wire throttle body anymore, there is actually throttle response and it is definitly power you can feel. getting on the freeway is much faster and passing power is greatly improved. I am shocked a tune can give you power you can feel on a gas engine.

Do you remember the date in November? I sent mine in November 3rd and haven't gotten anything yet.

Thanks bro. Nice truck by the way. I heard those air intakes let too much hot air from the engine compartment into the engine, thus cutting down on H.P., not increasing it. That's why I didn't get the intake too. Did you test drive it with the intake before loading the tunes?

Thumbs up

I called Troyer performance on Thursday 14th and asked when I would be receiving my tunes. I sent my papers in on November 8th and she said Mike had been programming all day long and that it would most likely go out in the mail on Friday 15th or at the latest Monday 18th. I CAN'T WAIT!!! So you should be getting yours by next week! Hope this helps!

The AF1 style open intake does NOT cause an issue with hot air injestion because of its configuration. There are many that will argue this fact. There have been some interesting tests done that prove just the opposite. Air temperature under the hood is not effected as greatly as some may argue. In EVERY dyno/test that I have seen, the AF1 has created more horsepower and torque than the Volant or any other so called closed "cold air system"..

dad is right- i witnessed at a dyno day a member switch to an air force 1 as it blew away the volants numbers-phil-k
