It's called the LiveWire. There are a few threads in this section (one I think started yesterday) that has more info on it. That such thread even has a website but it doesn't give any dates.

No, that's their new tuner.

There was also supposed to be an add-on display (only) for the existing X2, using the CAN bus I/O available on the 9-pin DIN connector. Pins 3 and 4, if I recall, which are labelled LCD CAN+ and LCD CAN-, which suggests their use to drive an external LCD display.

That was mentioned months ago.

I'm afraid that, with the imminent introducton of Livewire, that display-only option is probably either on hold, or shelved entirely, IMHO.

Oh, well that's progress and the realities of this market..

Cheers
Bubba

Hi Everyone, the livewire it looks like it will be alot more than the X-CAL2 for sure with all the upgrades to the unit. I would like to know from Mike if they still intend (or ever did) to release a X-CAL2 pod anytime soon? I really don't think I need this new unit. The looks of the edge pod is really a slick looking unit. Better than all the others on the market IMHO. Depending on the response from Mike. I think I could be in the market for the edge unit. Just for the intruments on the egde pod. I will surely keep my tunes from the SCT X-CAL2 ... Later...

Mike, have any thoughts? Do we have long to wait for a add on display pod for the X-CAL2. Or is the idea being forgotten about due to the introduction of the Livewire setup? Thanks...

Mike, would like to know if it would be worth my wait if the unit is going to be a reality or not. If not that's fine, I will find another unit to play with. Thank you....

Not trying to be a wise guy, but with no response from Mike. I quess we can forget about a display only pod for the X/CAL2. I would love to see what they come up with, if they had any intention of releasing one. Quess I will look else where...

Good grief you guys, demonstrate just a little patience, will ya?

" ... are my tunes ready yet ... are my tunes ready yet ??? "

" ... where's the display pod ... where's the display pod ???

" ... are we there yet ... are we there yet ???

" ... Now? Now? ... How 'bout now???

Kids ...

We tried cloning him a long time ago - didn't work, so there's only one copy of Mike 1.0. Great copy protection

Me - I've got Piggy bank #2 working hard towards LiveWire

Cheers

Hey MGDfan, I am no kid. Just looking for an honest reply. I know mike reads these posts. Instead of calling, I posted the question. If no reply, it usually means the worst... I am not the only one with interest in this display. Just curious is all...

Hi.

No sweat ... that was directed at the screaming hordes outside the gate in general

No reply can also mean he's up to his eyeballs in CPW's & tunes, not to mention project vehicles ... and then there's the datalogging results to plow through ...and the upcoming dyno day ... and reading the manual on his new HDTV, and Xmas shopping ....

Jeez, it's a wonder he posts at all !

Give it time, he'll drop by.

Cheers
Bubba
