ahhh that explains it. We've been dodging that bullit for several years here in San Antonio. Our air quality is getting real borderline though where we would have to do the emissions testing also. God I hope that doesn't happen.

For several years, they only included the northern counties around the city, about 2 years ago, they sucked in the southern counties. We are about 12 miles South of Fort Worth. It is a real hassel. They will somtimes have trucks with sensors positioned next to on ramps to get readings as cars go by. I assume it is a good thing, just a hassle. I don't dare take my 65 Mustang with the high lift cam by one of those, it might cause sirens to go off.

I'm from San Antonio also. I love how my inspections take 2 minutes and all they do is honk the horn and check the lights. I've even taken my truck in with no muffler whatsoever...they didn't even know haha

I just had an inspection today and I live in Burleson, but they only do the sniffers spark and dyno on the pre obd2 vehicles back to the grandfathered in year. The obd2 vehicles just get plugged into their computer via the, no biggie. Tuner programs should make no difference IMHO.
