which programmer to buy?

which is the best programmer out? whys is it the best? which is said to add the most mpg? which gives the most power? helllp asap

It all depends on how much you want to spend. For me, the Edge Evolution is the best programer for the money.

On this forum there are two popular programmers: Edge and X-Cal2. Edge has "canned" tunes (already programmed) and the X-Cal2 has tunes specifically for your truck and driving needs. Do a search and you will find more than enough info here.

I have the X-Cal2 programmed Mike Troyer and very happy with results. Troyer, troyerperformance.com. carries both so you could call them and find out more info.

I chose the TP tuned XCal2; it made a nice difference in the overall drivability

thankx for the quick replies guys!

money really isnt important willing to spend 600 or so... id like to mainly get a mile or two extra on mpg but hp is always good haha. but let me see some more ideas, anyone have just a tuner with no exaust or intake? i have a k$n drop in, not the fipk already...

I have the EDGE Evo on level 2 with a K&N drop-in and stock everything else. The Evo makes a huge improvement in shifting and driveability. The gauges are invaluable to keep up with what going on in the mill, too.
