Turn on your pm......I will give you my opinion. I don't want to be ripped apart by the other side.

If the truck runs lean enough to set a code or turn on the check engine light, the EDGE will allow you to read and clear the code(s). The EDGE tuning will NOT make the truck run lean. Intake changes without custom tuning to correct the air to fuel ratios are usually the cause of runnning lean. The EDGE cannot correct for lean conditions.

Who cares, I put on my flame suit for the Edge and it's bs. Problem with online forums is people like to talk positive with stuff but wont talk negative about it. Sorry but the Edge is a POS, there you have it again

i really don't know how to turn on the pm plus this was not to start anything just wanting to be safe with my truck. so with the edge programmer it will not make my truck run anymore lean or rich than what it already is before the programming.

Buy the Edge, run it stock setting with the Head Temp.shown on display.Let it get to full temp, and get a reading say at 90mph.Then make a run with the tow or performance tune.If the reading on the heads is higher at 90mph,then most likely it is running lean.If you don't like put it on Ebay.

Yeah I know, I just hate having bad luck with aftermarket parts.

I understand, and am sorry you had a problem. It seems to me that Edge did not do all their home work when they produced the unit for the trucks prior to 2004 model. They apparently advertised some things that the older trucks were not capable of doing before they had a complete product. I have a 2005 truck and the Edge has performed as advertised and I love it. I too hate to have problems with anything I purchase, we all do.

No, it can also be higher due to the advanced ignition curve. Just because it is hotter does not mean that it is lean. The only way to know for sure is to read the plugs or use a wide-band O2 sensor and monitor it.
