87 perf,93 tow,93 perf. After you run 93 performance for awhile ,you'll have 93 in your tank and 93 tow is a damn good tune, after you tow with it, you will be glad you have it!!!!IMHO

93 max perf
93 max tow
89 max perf

Been running 93 max perf since the day it arrived. Never tried the others, never will, but will definately use 93 tow when needed. Always run 93 octane fuel and have an AF1 3.25" intake. Only time I will ever run an 87 octane tune again is if the truck needs to go to dealer. The 'slug' is gone forever.

Hmmm, so do you think I should stick with my plan? Does it make sense to have 2 tow tunes? I know its all in what "I want" again, just looking for opinions.

Hi.

I'm beginning to become confused by your confusion

If it jives with your planned usage, then it makes sense - for you. Not like it's cast in stone or anything - can always get more of 'em as you already know.

I don't tow - will probably never tow, so for me '3 max perf' tunes make sense for me - with the stock (ugh!) tune as my 'emergency' tow tune should the need ever arise.

Cheers
Bubba

As am I...

I just want to hear what everyone has and how they like it. I've never tuned a vehicle before so any info I can get can only help in making ym decision. All the info here so far has done exactly that and I appreciate everyones input. I'm gonna stick with what I choose as I really don't see me going back to 87 once I get a taste of the 93 tune

Depends on gas prices: they go over the $3.00gl again, and that 93 tune may go away. I have the same problem: I have been second guessing myself ever since I sent the order in. Plus with the amount of driving I do [32k in 11 months], I wanted to keep the option of a lower octane tune.

It is only 20 cents a gallon more regardless of the price. Actually, % wise, it is less at $3.00 a gallon then when it is $2.00 per gallon. see, you can justify it in all kinds of ways!

For my usage, I went with 87 tow, 87 perf, and 91 tow... But I also tow about every 3-4 weeks. So I think I'm going to leave either the 87 tow, or more than likely the 91 tow, in there all the time. That way when I do tow, I don't have to re-program each time. Plus, I like the shifting a little better in the tow tunes (it's softer than perf tune, but still way better than stock).
