Guys - not disputing your choice - it's what I would have if it weren't for the Xcal2. Enjoy - it's all good.

Edge
Just a little input on the subject...I would'nt suggest any other type of tuner except for the Edge Evo.That thing does sooooooo much and the price is great for everything that it does.I mean just about any reading you want to get you can get.....its amazing.

The Edge doesn't begin to have the fine control over A/F's required to properly & safely adjust for this, over the entire throttle position range, and at any load.
You wouldn't even know where to correct... you'd just be guessing, which is a real dumb thing to do. Not all the 2004+'s have this problem, and not all to the same degree - you only know by measuring it, and a canned tune does not factor this anomoly in out of the box. Good luck with that.
If you had bothered to search, you would not have posted such an uninformed load of BS. Good grief.

everyone that i've talked to and everything i've read about the edge points to no option for adjusting the A/F mix, not even adding more fuel. maybe at WOT, yes, but that doesn't help with normal idle, running and so on.

This is from Edge mechanic:
Now, I agree with you 100% that without proper equipment like a wideband AFR, tuning for fuel would generally be a pointless exercise which could end up causing severe engine damage. However, since the Mass Air Meter is controlling AFR in all situations except WOT, there really isn’t any need to pursue any fueling changes except at WOT (which is when it goes open-loop). This is precisely what we allow the user to change. Since we only allow modifications to make the vehicle richer, there really isn’t concern for engine damage. Plus, this allows for fuel enrichment in situations such as exhaust modifications where running a bit lean could be an issue. We also allow for some slight timing modifications based on current fuel quality. This can help pick up some badly needed fuel economy or allow to run a slightly lower fuel quality without risk of detonation.
