It just my opinion but edges customer service sucks.
While Troyer has a long list of very satified customers.
Ive heard the exact opposite about Edge. Everyone has only good things to say about their customer service and tech support. Troyer is well known for their support as well.

Dmoe, have you even tried an Edge yet?

Get ready, here it comes.

I love my EDGE Evolution. EDGE even added some features to it based specifically on input from members from this site.

The answer to your question is yes, he bought one for his 2006 but the HEX code was not yet programmed into his unit. He has tried to talk to Edge about it and they have told him it will be a while before they get it programmed. If he returns it, he will have to pay a restocking fee. This is all according to his posts, which, if true, sounds as if Edge has a customer service problem in this case. I love mine, but then, it has been trouble free.

Ford added another "new" hex code (aka: Calibration) for the 2006 model. Edge has to write new tunes as Ford releases new hex codes .

Go here to see the Edge supported hex codes:

Hey just got my new 06 screw build 05/06 and cde is in my edge that i bought for my 05 screw.I plugged the edge into my 06 and bam it read the code and wanted to tune.I don't know what Dmoe has.I will tell you I am very happy with my edge.I called TP and i would still be waiting for tune on the 05 I traded in.The problem I had about the shifting on my 05 was not the edge but my truck.

My Edge has been working in my 2006 for months. I transfered it from my 2004 F-150 to my 2006, no problems.

Sounds like maybe it will work and maybe it wont...it just depends. So where do you find the code on your truck? Is it part of the VIN?
