The octane is 93, I am understanding that for every point of octane above the canned octane, (91) for the high performance setting I can advance the timing 1-2. So as an example I have 2 additional octane points, I can go from a minimum of +1 to +4, keeping in mind the pinging if to high, then back it down...
As for pinging, you can still get detonation without hearing it, thats why most cars have knock sensors, I personally wouldn't stray too far from Edge's advice.
