I was wondering the same thing. I was part of the group buy but will not be able to attend because of a business trip. I realize the importance of getting the dyno aside from the baseline custom tuning done. It would be great to have you guys dyno my truck. It would be about a 5 hour trip from here.
Plus, I would like to meet alot of the members here. So if possible, can you schedule another group dyno day in May, and have a pig-picken for all of us here on F150online while we dyno and talk shop.
Hi everyone,
First - don't worry, we'll be having Dyno Days on a regular basis once we get moved into the new shop, as often as there is enough interest. Up until we got involved with trying to get this monstrosity of a building (meaning not monstrous in size, but in terms of all the problems we've had with it), we were having a Dyno Day roughly about every 6-8 weeks or so. We'll probably be shooting for at least every 6 weeks, if not once a month, from here on out.
Second - for those who need our address for the new shop for Dyno Day, it's 980 Valley Ridge Road, Covington Va, 24426
Next - for Phil - we probably won't be there first thing Friday morning, at least, as it looks right now. So much is up in the air, dependent upon delivery times for furniture, computers, getting the network in, etc. So it will most likely need to be an afternoon thing. Remember, we're not even open yet at the new shop, and may well still not be by the time of Dyno Day, either - it's so up in the air in that regard, so this is being done on a scheduled appointment basis. We'll talk on the phone about this so we can get everything squared away as we spoke about previously.
For Gil - We'd love to have you bring your Lightning - just be aware that, as you'll probably remember from your last Dyno Day with us, we're trying to avoid doing any scratch-tuning during our Dyno Days due to time constraints. We spend so much time on our custom tunes that it's usually not feasible to scratch-tune, as that throws the entire event schedule behind. In other words, each vehicle we are going to make any tuning adjustments to, we'll need to already have their initial baseline custom tuning done. Now if someone just wants to run their vehicle on the dyno, that's fine - but for us to make any tuning changes, we need to have already built the initial baseline custom tuning beforehand. So if you want us to make any adjustments to the tune, I would suggest (and please forgive me, I don't mean to play salesman here) giving us a call and getting an XCal 2 & tuning ordered up for your Lightning now, if you want us to make tuning changes that day, so that we can have that baseline tuning already done in time for Dyno Day. We can make any adjustments needed on the spot much quicker if we already have the baseline tuning done. Also, for your Mustang, as soon as we can we'll set up something so we can talk about getting your shifting firmness levels up to where you want it!
Just in general - we have people who drive in from 1000 miles away like it's nothing - so we'll have, by the next few days, a group rate set up at a hotel here for everyone to take advantage of - we've already blocked off some rooms, now we're just working on the best group rate we can get for everyone. We'll let everyone who schedules an appointment in with us for Dyno Day know those details as soon as that is done.
That's it for now, talk to you soon!!

I've got to get down there! I don't know if I'll make it in April but maybe the next one. I'll have to see if my girl can tolerate an 11 hour drive in this LOUD truck. I'd like her to go even though she could care less about vehicle related stuff. I'm sure there are other things we could do while we're there.
Hey. Congrats Mike and all of you at Troyer Performance. The new shop sounds great! Now I've really got to get down there to say hello.

By the way - as promised, we have a group rate worked out at a local hotel for everyone - here's the info:
Best Western Mountain View
820 East Madison, in Covington, VA 24426
Phone# (540) 962-4951
Call them directly to make your reservations, and just tell them you "want one of the rooms blocked off for Troyer Performance."
We have worked out a group rate of $60 a night for a single room, and $71 for a double - that also includes a free breakfast as well. This is the same hotel Marc Carpenter stays at when he's down here with us, so it's a decent place for the price.
See you there!

Thanks Mike
Truck filled with 93 Citgo and waiting......
Have a Great weekend.....
Oh man, I envy everyone who is going to be at the Dyno Day! If only there were a way to "rent" a military tanker aircraft and fly my truck over from Hawaii.
I could fly it,well not me, but some pilot could fly it right into the local Airport and I'd be back to work by Monday...Maybe when I get stationed somewhere close on the mainland...You guys are lucky...
How you doing "Dad?"
Joe
