I want to thank the fellas that responded with the Hex codes. I think I am on my way to getting this thing ironed out and expect to have (another) update by Wednesday.

TEGE2 calibration will be ready tonight (6:00 pm MST) and OKCM6 should be ready by Wednesday as well.

Also, thanks to the "Update Required" guys that have been waiting paitiently for the last few calibrations to get completed. I know it sucks to have to wait (some for quite a long time) and I truly apologize for your inconvenience. We really thought we had everything covered based on the available information we had. Of course, as it turns out there we a couple of stray calibrations we weren't aware of. That coupled with a few software issues, feature requests, etc., there's just not enough hours in the day to accomplish what you want.

Anyway, thanks again and keep rockin with *Edge Radio*!

Take care.

ASE Mechanic...

Please explain the timing adjustment now that took the place of the octane. Since the owners manual doesn't address this, could you please explain what you are doing if the user adjusts this setting.

Thanks

One of the other guys on the Forum asked him this question and posted that it worked the same except that for every 1 value you move the timing......it would be equal to 2 octane. For example if the tune called for 91 octane and you put in 93 octane, you could bump up the timing by 1. I believe it is just a general rule of thumb and that ultimately you have to pay attention and listen for detonation.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I think ThumperMX113 posted something to this affect after talking to him on the phone?

Yeah.......just got to tell someone........I just loaded the #3 tune of my Edge and let me tell ya what.....a 7.0 0-60MPH...whoa....hold on to your hat buddy. (with a full tank) This engine really has come alive. This is just the standard #3 tune. I think I can tweek this for a little more, since we have 93 octane here. 1/4 mile was a 15.47. Not too bad for this heap. I wanna hear more stories like mine. Keep em comin guys.

Nice.........not bad for an FX4 SCAB. I haven't run the level 3 tune yet, but I have a personal best so far of 7.62 0-60. Just filled it up with 93, but haven't had a chance to run any tests yet. In fact I was going to wait untill after Wednsdays update to load level 3. I also have an FX4 SCAB 5.4L.......this thing has already exceeded my expectations......if I can get the times your getting.......WOW. Now all I have to do is learn how to take off without so much wheel spin. Before the tuner I could hardly get the tires to chirp.....now, with 3.73LS, it will lay a patch 20' plus.

Fellers...

TEGE2 is now available. Still planning on OKCM2/6 for Wednesday. Sorry I didn't post last night. I barely got the file done and uploaded before I had to go pick up the kiddies.

Shift fix is in the works. I'll know today if it's resolved. If so, that'll be in tomorrow's update as well.

Catch y'all later.

Bill

I am very happy with the EDGE so far

I cant believe the difference this thing made. I can spin the tires at will and it always seems to wanna downshift and this is with the midgrade #2 option. has to have knocked a second off the 0-60

This is bull****, it takes me 4 weeks to get an update for the hardware, and now you guys are getting new updates like giving away free cookies. And on top of that you guys are working on future requests and software issues when people cant even utilize the hardware they bought. You guys need a buyback program so i can send this thing back only considering i would loose my *** on 20% restocking fee.

asinatra...

First off, let me say that I understand your frustration. I know that if I paid good money for a unit that I couldn't use, I'd be thoroughly upset as well. Now with that said…

I am one person. I am the only person at Edge that handles calibrations and I have to support the 7.3L, the 6.0L, the 97-03 F150 and now the 04-06 F150. I also have to support the Lightning update software whenever there is a problem. Not to mention the development of calibrations for other vehicle manufacturers. (Who cares about GM or Dodge anyway? ) I am doing the best that I can to get everything done, get all the updates completed and still find time breathe. I have completed 4 updates over the last 3 days and apparently your calibration was not one of them. Well, I'm sorry. Maybe if I knew what your PCM code was I could have jumped on it sooner or maybe not. All I know is I have a list of updates that needed to be done and I am doing them as fast as I can.

Here's a suggestion… Why don't you let me know what you PCM code is so I can get it done. Gee, that'd be much easier than complaining. I do answer e-mails as most of the other people on here have realized and it does help me to understand which of the calibrations on my list are the most urgent and which ones I can hold off on.

As for cookies, I am out of the White Chocolate Macadamia and M&M cookies… but I can send you a Chocolate Chip or Peanut Butter cookie if you like.

Take care.

Talking Ver. 14 available...

Ok fellers...

Version 14 is up. It has added support for the following families:

OKCM2
OKCM6

As near as I can tell, RXCM3 families are the only ones left. If any of you have this code, please let me know. I'll try to have as soon as possible.

Also included at no extra charge...

This should have the 1-2 WOT shift fix. Anyone who is experiencing this particular phenomena, give this one a spin. Nothing is changed except for 1 small tranny parameter so the performance shouldn't change at all. If this does fix the shift issue, please let me know. Of course, if it doesn't I am sure I'll hear about it!

I'll be checking back later and will also check e-mail tonight (until 10:00pm MST) just in case anyone has concerns or issues. If so, leave a number and I'll call back.

Take care and keep it rockin'!

Bill

Question

ASEMechanic

With all of the changes you have done to the Edge program was you still able to maintain the same perfomance you started out with?
