Thanks! I will let you know what I think when I get it.

Okay, I have been waiting so long to get the tuner back. Now i have it. I went directly to install the tune and still does not work. I am getting an error code. E-5F. What the heck is going on. Since the reflash has been done, I have run into many problems. The tuner goes through all it steps of tuning and saving files. Once that is completing it goes through trying to clear codes and then give this error in question. The DTC code I am getting is P1000.

Has anyone run into this problem? What is the fix? I dont think it is the tuner.

Maybe Ford has added an "anti-tamper" code to the new flashes and the tuners won't work any more!? Just kidding. I guess I'm glad I never got flashed now.

Well I'm glad (sorry) to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem. I sent my tuner back in (3rd time) last week Thursday. I haven't heard anything as of yet. I'll let you know what happens as soon as I get it back.

Someone needs to invent a CPM lock box so if Ford decides they want to flash your truck they have to get your permission.

Well, another week has flown by and still no tuner. I called SuperChips and it sounds to like they don't know why this is happening. It must be something new. I was told it was back in engineering. Hmmmmm.

Well, it's now November 25th and still no tuner. The last 3 times I've called Super Chips they keep telling me it's still in engineering and that they'll call me back. I still haven't received a return call.
I'm about ready to ask for arefund. I bought it through Troyer so I wonder if Troyer would give me the refund or Super Chips.

This really blows

I don't think a reputable company may do this but just because you send it in, doesn't mean they do anything with it. Perhaps they are waiting on your truck to get more mileage in between(as they had previously stated) before they decide to send it back and check if that changes the problem. I was looking into a tuner and now I'm worried about a reflash. Good luck with your tuner and hope all works well for you.

Finally!!
I received my tuner back last night and just installed the program this morning. It actually worked!!!!!
I did talk to SuperChips this past Monday and the person I spoke with indicated that they had quite a few tuners back in with the same problem. It must have something to do woth Ford's recent PCM update. I'm assuming that SC has the problem fixed. Although it was a pain not having the tuner for so long, I'm glad to have it back and I must say it was worth the wait.
Get the tuner, you won't be disapointed.

KOzwald,

So you are saying it works now. I have been awaiting your results for a while now. Did they tell you what they had done to the tuner I am curious. I know, i should have never had a PCM update, because it did not do anything. thanks for your feedback.

Yes, the tuner worked this time. It sure is nice to have it back. I honestly think the PCM update that was done hurt the trucks performance more than helped it. Ever since the dealer reflashed the PCM my truck felt very sluggish.
