Question about calibration code

On my truck, the code has worn off the sticker, I cant make it out at all...

Ive been thinking about getting a chip sometime in the future, but I was wondering if there is another way to get the code, since most chips require it?

Yeah Ive read that page, but the only thing it says about my year truck is to check the sticker on the passenger side door and not the drivers side sticker.

Doesnt help me much is the writing on the sticker is completely worn off

very bottom of the page says
If you have any problems finding your computer code, or just want to check it to make sure, etc., please call us at 540-862-9515 & our staff will be happy to help you!
The code is going to be somewhere else too. Where, I don’t know but call Mike and he’ll be able to direct you to it.

There's a sticker on the plastic cover on the end of the computer (the end sticking inside the cab) that has the code on it. The computer is sticking through the firewall behind the right side of the glove box.

Thanks Red Wing, I found it, except on my truck it was on the side inside the engine compartment.

Hi Johngs,

I don't know what you found, but yes, you can always look on the back of the PCM itself, inside the cabin, just above the passenger's kick panel - there will be a black plastic tab that holds the PCM, up against it's mounting bracket - pull that clip straight back to remove it, and then usually where that clip was covering up will be another code stocker - 3 letters followed by 1 number, 4 digits total.

If you ever have any problem with that, just give us a call & we'll help you out.

Good luck!
