Hi.

That's a maintenance issue. If you have a paper filter and run in extreme conditions, it needs to be changed /cleaned more often too. Along with your engine oil . If you do that a lot, the reusable one will eventually pay for itself.

What some folks do is have a spare, clean, oiled filter on hand. Just swap it out when the one in the truck gets grungy, and go. Clean the spoogy one when time permits. Minimizes the cleaning/drying downtime.

Anyone use those 'pre-filters' that you can get with K&N's? Might be an option if it's really dusty...

Cheers
Vic

RJ28RACER...

After I ordered the stage one Perf Cust. Tune I received the tuner first.......big difference right off the bat....it was great.....got the SISO exhaust 2-3 weeks after that......didn't really feel much difference ..but it sounded great!!!!!...oh ya ..nice clean look with the new tail pipe....kind of a shame to hide the muffler...it looks pretty nice and high quality as far as the welds and appearance....then got the AF1 about 2 weeks maybe alittle more.....I'm kinda guessing on the time line......DEFINITELY!!!! felt a big difference in acceleration and it enhanced the sound of the exhuast.....IMHO it made both sound "tighter...cleaner....more high performance like" sorry kinda hard for me to put into words...it's definitaly much nicer and doesn't sound sloppy...it's nice.....put the hammer down......everybody knows your comin'.

Hey Mike......

After the Stage 1 Per. Cust. Tune Pack......What would you recommend for the next Mod on an '05. I'd like to get up to the last stage at some point but will probably have to buy each single mod one at a time for now........I see your packages but not sure in what order each mod would fall into place.....I think there may be a few people who would be interested in this info.....especially after they get a taste of stage one!!! OH Ya....its kinda funny...my next door neighbor asked my wife if I was going through my second childhood......I thought that was a good sign....

HI kbc,

For the guy who has done our Stage 1 kit on their 2005 and needs to do more mods one at a time - the next 2 things to do would be to do our underdrive pulleys & then our electric fan conversion kit.

The underdrives are worth about 14 HP in conjunction with our tuning, and the E-fans a similar amount - however, when you do them *both*, you get about 25 Hp at the rear wheels, simply because the gains from the underdrives are stated assuming that the factory mechanical fan is still in place, so there will be some offset.

So I'd say do the pulleys & e-fans next.
