I know what you guys mean about a person not having 91 octane gas in the tank and having the chip on an 87 tune so flipping the dial for instant changes isn't necessary all of the time. However, if I decide to tow something and want to use the 91-tow setting I can't just put in 91 octane and switch to that setting and get immediate benefits. According to info from the very well known and seemingly well respected SC distributor I purchased it from I should give the truck a tank of gas to get the computer used to the new setting. This is contradictory to what I was told prior to ordering my 6600. Sometimes the distance I want to tow my 5,600 lb trailer is within the full tank of gas range round trip.

davet,

Have you contacted Super Chips directly? You may want to do that rather than hanging out here complaining about not being a happy customer. I'm sure if they know you have a problem, or are unhappy, they would be willing to make things right, even if it means sending your chip directly to them and have them check it out. Also, being as they don't sell directly, and supply their product through independent distributors, I would think they would want to know if you don't feel you're getting treated fairly by one of their distributors. Afterall, it is their name and reputation that is affixed to each Super Chip product sold! Just my 2 cents...
