Horsepower numbers

I was just wondering if anyone had actual gained horsepower numbers from any of the tuners especiually the 1715 and the xcalibrator. Any numbers off of any tuner would be a great help. And i have been searching but it would help if i could condense it to one thread.

And if you read MY post, you'd have gone to troyerperformance.com and found the following in 10 seconds:

Power gains for the 2004 300 HP 3-valve 5.4 engine on the premium gas tuning are 20 HP & 32 lbs./ft. more PEAK horsepower and torque, and there are areas in the lower rpm ranges where the gains are as much as 24 HP & 40 lbs./ft. of torque at the rear wheels! Gains on 87 octane are on the order of 9-12 more HP, and about 20 lbs./ft. of torque. (Owners of the great new 3-valve 5.4 engines will be very happy to know that they will see improved throttle response from the factory throttle-by-wire system!) Troyer Performance has made some contributions to the tuning available for the 2004 F-150's 3-valve 5.4 engine in this 1714 Micro Tuner, and you will simply be amazed at how much quicker & better the overall throttle response is - like it should have been from the factory! The entire powertrain is much quicker to respond - downshifts for passing, etc., come much quicker without the normal factory delays, same goes for all the upshifts - your truck will respond right now to your right foot!

It's also been stated in numerous other threads the x-cal can achieve up to 50% more gains than the 1714...

Man, that was tough...

What your looking for is very obscure for intake and exhaust systems and other performance changes and is often propritary in nature.
I to would like to see un biased dyno runs on any of these changes.

>>>There is no way i will believe what is on Mike's website even though he is a great guy.<<<

How astute of you, Southern FX4 - in the same sentence I'm a liar and a great guy, eh?

I'll tell you what - I stand by the statement on our website about the power gains from the 1714's various programs. Period.
I do NOT lie, nor did Superchips Inc. lie about the power gains from the 1714 as you have just attempted to represent - understood?

On behalf of *everyone* who was involved with that project, among them some of the sharpest engineers & tuners in this industry, I think you owe us all an apology.

Chassis dyno numbers are not an end all. The same truck can and will produce different numbers on runs conducted on different days or even different times on the same day. I've seen it on my own truck.

Mike Troyer is one of the very few in this industry that is telling it like it is. I would personally thank him and his organization for all they are doing for us including plowing money into this website to make this forum possible.

Angry I do believe that.....

An apology is in order here. Step up to the plate Southern-Fx4.

On Ford Truck I certainly agree with your last statement.

When I first approached Mike about a custom tune on my truck, He talked to me at length and asked what I expected from the truck and explained in detail what he could do for me. He TOTALY met and exceeded my expectations!!!!!

Its funny to me how many people on this forum will just tell you to "DO A SEARCH" ...instead of just helping you out,i guess i will have to keep that in mind

Exclamation Well to be honest....

The reason that they say "do a search" is that the subject has been covered at great length. Why do it all over again when the information is already there and available? Seems to make sense to me.

They ARE doing you a favor by pointing you in the right direction.

I think that everyone took this the wrong way. I do not think that an apology is in order becuase i said nothing that should have been taken in such a way to come down on mike or any of his team. I was simply saying that as a consumer there is no way that i can belive a munfactures numbers on their sites WITHOUT A SECOND OPIONION due to the fact that there will be bias no matter how hard you try. Mike is a great guy as i have read many of his posts and he has answerd many questions for me. I think his product is the best on the market for tuners and he should be very proud of this. However, everyone took this the wrong way, not the way i meant it. If you look at it from a consumer-manufacturer viewpoint you have to be skeptical. I am alsosorry i couldn;t clear this up sooner, srry guys.
