Post FlipChip Wiring - Which is which?

Hi all,

Have a R9 flipchip from a buddy of mine, and my question is How to identify the programs? Program #1 is labelled Stock and Program #2 is the Performance Program. Sooooooo, when Red & Black are connected, which program is that?

Thanks!!

Not real sure what R9 is but my Superchip FlipChip has the 87 / 92+ programs and it works like so. The HOME position or #1 is the 87 program and the #2 position is the 92+ octane program. The way to tell is on the treaded mounting casing of the switch there is a notch or
" vertical slot ". When the switch is pointed towards that slot you are in the "Home" or 87 program. Also you should make sure to shut of the truck before switching positions.
Hope this helps.

The switch is not on it. I just have the two wires, that's why I'm asking which wire combo is Program #1...

Thumbs up

Logan

I assume you and your buddy have the same computer code?

I'd call Mike Troyer to know for sure but my bet is that when that circuit is closed it's the second program.

Hi Logan,

Well, the way it's originally connected to the switch, you would connect the red wire to the pole for Position 1, and connect the black wire to the middle contact. This will leave the third connection blank, which will be on the side of the switch housing marked "II", that's the one that will be left open.

If you don't have the original switch, then you'll need to find a suitable replacement 3-connector 2-position switch, and wire it as described above.

Good luck!
