Talking

Well, I've apoligized all I can. I have refrained from saying anything disparaging about anyone's motor, whatever it's size.

I even sent Bill a half dozen roses.

Cool

Yep, I had the pedal all the way to the floor, couldn't keep up. But ih well, I understood that I had the v6, I lived with it, wouldn't happy with the fact that I couldn't beat any of the kids who came up beside me and wanted a piece. But it was a good truck, I fixed it up as much as I could. It was a damn good truck. But now's a different story, that's why I know what's goin on, I know the truth. But some people can't handle the truth Couldn't help my self there I liked my 4.2, but beatin a 5.4 just isn't in the cards, or any where in the deck for that matter. Sorry, but I damn sure know, like they say, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.

Have a good day, and a better one tomorrow

Ok,

Here is the undisputable, truth. Take a regular cab short box style side automatic and run them from a stop at idle and in drive here is how they will finish. The 5.4 will be first the 4.6 will be second followed closely by the 4.2. If you want to compare the 5 speed you can only compare to the 4.6 and 4.2. And even that is not proof of the better truck as the results will be affected by driver skill. If you run a manual against a 5.4 again the results will be affected by how well the manual driver shifts or how much tires spin is allowed on the 5 speed. It is not necessarily a reflection of who has the faster truck but who is the better driver.

Kindest regards

Jean Marc Chartier

Cool

Since this topic seems to be down-grading into what can beat what, I just want to tell everyone right up front that my PSD can be absolutly whipped by any minivan on the road!!! Especially the ones w/the soccor ball pasted on the window and the Mom drivers that are talking on the phones! Of course I was shifting correctly but these people just have no sense of fair play. They just floor board the gas peddel and the kids in the back just hang on and grin at me. I think it may have something to do with me not knowing my hp #'s (or maybe they just weigh a lot less then I do) But my math is a little fuzzy here. I'm sure if I could just figure it out, my truck would beat them Then maybe I could post my #'s in the window so they would know not to race me anymore!!!

Since this thread is titled "4.2 Chipped..." (maybe you should start a 4.2 vs 5.4 thread) I want to know if any of you Superchipped 4.2 and 5.4 people have encountered problems with their chips? I've heard of the No Start problem. Has anyone encountered other problems?
