super chip and propane

Has anyone out there done the super chip thing to a propane powered motor? I understand that the octane of propane is around 104-105
Any thoughts Mike?

Hi arrbilly,

In the past, years ago in a couple of one-off projects we provided tuning for a coupla-few dual-fuel vehicles using propane, they were OBD-I (meaning pre-1996 models) FoMoCo's.

But in general, that's just not something we do - tuning for propane performance should be left to those who have some real R&D into it, I feel, and we just don't have that experience.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you!

Thanks Mike, I e-mailed you a couple of weeks ago and your wife replied suggesting I try SC Europe. I sent them an e-mail a week ago and have not heard from them yet. Do you think there's any chance of them being more up on it? They do a lot more propane stuff than you folks in the States. If it was workable I'd be seriously interested in the 1715 Microtuner.
Thanks again
RR

I doubt that will work, as Superchips LTD over in Bletchley England doesn't do US-spec applications, and Superchips Inc. here in the US does not do Euro-spec applications - Europe does Euros, and US does US-spec apps, & it's never the twain shall meet, basically.

You *might* get lucky, but don't count on it, I'd say your chances are slim & none, realistically - but good luck, I wish I could be more helpful to you.

Thanks Mike.
I'm pretty determined, so, I'll keep on digging. If I'm successful I'll post it.
