well, there seems to be a toss up between the shine of LG vs teh shine of Z. Half of the people say LG is better, half say Z is better. Both look amazing in the pics, but i havent found anybody yet who has used both on a BLACK vehicle. So, since i just got a ram air hood for my truck, adn teh old hood is going into the attic, what i'm gonna do is tape that panel down the middle and do half with the little bit of LG that i have left, and do the other half with the Z that i'm getting. I'll post pics and keep everyone updated when i do it...

 

You'll also have to look at effort involved.

Z you have to apply lots of coats to get the really great shine.

LG you start to get that shine after the first coat.

 

yeah i know, but when i start the Z process on my truck, after each step i do on the truck, i'll take a short break and go hit the hood. I'm figuring 3 coats of Z5, and 2 or 3 coats of Z2, with z6 after each coat, and dawn wash, claybar, and z7 wash before those.

 

Why not do Klasse too??

Also, leave an area with no wax on it so you can compare to it.

 

if you want to mail me enough klasse to do a 1/4 of the hood i'll do it in 4 sections

don't have enough of that green stuff to do too much at once

 

Sounds like a great comparison test. I'd send ya some Klasse if I had some. Not sure if you knew this, but YoSteve.com offers Klasse sample kits for fairly cheap (about $15)- I was about to pick some up myself in the next few days.

 

if i had some spare cash lying around, i'd get a sample kit to do the test, but i'm scrounging as it is

spending that 15 bucks on a new set of keys for my HD truck that have the HD and Ford jeweled logos on them like the 01 and 02 HD guys got

just sent the check in for the zaino 2 days ago. hopefully it'll get here for next weekend.

 

tracking # says the zaino will get here tomorrow will most likely do the truck this weekend if its nice (now that i'm saying this it'll probably rain )

Hood is going in for paint on monday, and should get it back around thursday, so i'll be doing the test on the stock hood that following weekend. If nobody sends any klasse by then, it'll just be LG vs Z vs nada. Doesn't matter to me really, just keepin everybody updated.
