Just curious to see if anyone on the board has used this? My truck is black, and the dings are driving me nuts...

TIA!

I have tried this chipstick. Is about like getting a black crayon and trying to color your truck. First off it does not match the black paint. It turns out too grey. Second, it lasts about 1 day if your lucky. This chipstick may have it's place but its not on my truck.
I too have a black truck and the chips and scratches drive me crazy. I have just about come to the conclusion to just chalk them up as battle scars. Black is a tough color and if you actually use your truck its gonna get scratched. For chips you might try touch-up paint and an fine artist brush. For little scratches, well everything I have tried has made them look worse than better. Good luck and if you find something that works good let us know.

I have not used the chipstick, but if you can protect your paint before it chips this might be a good option:

It is a "clear bra" for the front end of your truck. The F150's are about 3/4 down the page. It is made by 3M and comes with a $1000 paint protection guarantee.

whoa thats some costy stuff. For just the regular f150 grille, upper, lower bumper kit, adn hood its like 400 plus shipping. I'd have to see it on a truck before i bought any of that stuff. Heck, thats why i spent 60 bucks and bought a 130 dollar bra for long highway trips. . And i can still glass the truck

But yeah, i tried the GS27 scratch remover color stick on a nick in the paint, it just colored it in gray. Like he said, just use touch up and a fine brush for those big chips.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured, which is why I didn't purchase it on first look-

My biggest problem is not really with chips on the front, it's idiots who park 18" away and proceed to open their doors into mine...or even better, the people that pull in backwards, then open their doors into the side of your bed instead...

I guess they just don't have good depth perception...or maybe just a $199.99 paint job on their "ride"...

Anyway, I'll keep looking- thanks for the info guys!

let me know if you find something that works. I have a chip on my fender from that exact thing you were talking about. I think touchup will be the only thing that will look aight and hold up though

i agree try using touchup paint if you get the exact color from the dealor you can have it wet sanded and buffed an youll never know that you had to touch that place up

looka little closer....

if you look a little closer you may find that the chip isnt to the paint but just the surface of the clear coat. you can get t/up in the clear coat and it will blend right in. apply it a little at a time till you fill the void. tip; a hair dryer on the low setting will speed things up
