glass wax??

Is there a product on the market that allows you to "wax" your automotive glass? I once saw a guy apply (what seemed like a wax) to his windshield and it cleaned it like new and of course like most waxes repelled it from water great.

Rain-X. You can buy this at a local discount store in the automotive section. Don't use regular wax on your winsheild, you could but it will propably mess up the way your wipers work.
There is alot of products out there for repelling rain off your windsheild, but i like Rain-X

Yhea I use rain-X

Best way to apply it is before you wash clean your windows with your favorite window cleaner and then apply the 2 coats of rainX. Then when you wash your truck just make sure you scrub the windows well.

You can use liquid glass auto polish on glass. I just found this out last week when i was on their website. And it makes sense too because LG bakes onto the surface so it won't mess up the wipers and make them chatter. And it will make the water run right off.

NEW USE

Wow that is great I did not know that Trick. Someone needs to puy that under tips and tricks. I know that we will disagree with the effectiveness of LG but I am glad to see it does other things too. By the way IT IS A REALLLY GOOD POLISH. I just do not have time to polish my car 10 times for the mirror finish. to me IMO It will polish about as good a meg gold class but about half the price.

Lg is not a polish... It is a sealant (Synthetic Wax)... Polishing and waxing are different things. I still haven't figured out why they call it a polish. Guess they are just trying to do their part to confuse the everyday consumer. It my testing it showed some abrasive abilities but I'm still not sure. I've got to run it over some stains to see if it removes them.

Meguiar's Gold Class Cost like $10... Liquid Glass coats around $20... How is Liquid Glass half the price? Got Calculator?

They make some goop that you can buy at Wally-Hell (my trade-marked name for Wal-Mart) that is 'WINDSHIELD STRIPPER'. It takes everything off of glass. I've used it, and it DEFINATELY WORKS.

I don't use it anymore though... seemed almost too harsh. Rain-X is EXCELLENT stuff. I've been using it since it was brought onto the market.

well, i was getting the truck ready for teh show 2morrow, and i was glassing the tailgate, and remembered about glassing the windows. I did it on the back 3 windows, and the 2 front side windows. I didn't do it on the windshield, because i want to test the front sides at night to see if it creates any type of glare. Anyway, the back 3 windows are privacy glass, and the liquid glass worked great on them. I used to use Clearview Professional Glass cleaner by turtle wax (because it was the only stuff i found to get rid of the streaks on the inside of the windshield) but teh LG made the windows look ALOT better suprisingly and didn't streak at all. It kinda hid the acid rain etching too so now its harder to see it. On the front side windows (untinted) i noticed it did leave a little glare, but i'll try to see if i can buff the slight streaks out 2morrow. If i can't i'll just use the window cleaner on teh fronts and the LG on the back windows, because it looks alot better, and i could feel the ones with LG felt slicker than the windshield without it.
