Rhino Liner Care
Rhino Liner Care
I have a 2002 F-150 XLT Supercab with a Rhino Spray-in Liner that I have had installed about 3 months now. My question is what can you put on it too keep it from fading? In particular the bottom of the bed obviously due to the sun hitting it directly just isn't keep that "new" shine that I would like. My Rhino dealer sold me some product called Just Once and I know how they got the name. You will only use it Just Once before you realize it is a overpriced version of armor all.
My Rhino liner is about a year old and the Texas sun had faded it from black to gray. I sprayed armor-all on it a couple of weeks ago and it looks new again. Its easy to do as I didnt do any wiping, just sprayed it and left it. Even if I have to do it once a month it will be worth it to keep it looking new, armor-all is relatively cheap.

I'm a Rhino Liner...
I'm not a dealer, but I do work at Rhino Linings in Jonesborough, TN, and I wouldn't use a roll-on on top of the liner. Just Once is made specifically for these bedliners, and it's best if you use it on them. As you probably know, the Rhino does not come with an anti-fading portion of the warranty, so that leaves it up to you to keep it shining. You can actually use one bottle of Just Once at least twice on a shortbed pickup. It doesn't take much at all to bring back the shine. Just work in one small area at a time with the spray and a clean rag. Spray a thin film over the area and lightly rub the area. Repeat this until you have covered the whole bed. You'd be suprised how long it will last.
If you must use a different product, I'd suggest using Next Dimension Tire spray. It's only like $1.75 per can and it's easier to use than Armor-All and lasts longer. That would keep you shining for quite a while.

I just bought my truck and it has a spray on bed liner that is green and the lady I bought it from said it was gray when she bought it new. It is around 2-3 years old and not sure what brand it is. In reading Flea post fading/discoloring may not be under warranty. I wonder what I can do to bring the color back?

Truck, since my last post I sprayed my liner with Turtle Wax Formula 2001 and it turned it back to jet black and no fading yet. You might give it a try. The armor all doesent have any sun protection ingredient but the 2001 does. Or you might try the other products listed in the other posts.
