I used to use Zymol, and found it to be a good product. It's made with all sorts of "natural" ingredients and sorta smells like bananas or coconuts...or something.

It certainly isn't abrasive, in my experience, but it is sometimes a bit hard ot remove if the weather is humid.

I have since switched to Cherry Wet wax and think it's great...easier to remove.

Talking Thanks!

It has been a very good truck; will turn 100,000 miles tomorrow (probably). "Conversion" trucks are big here in Minnesota, and there are two or three BIG firms who do a nice job adding the goodies and custom paint.

No problems since I bought it at 37,000. Of course, I have taken pretty good care of it: new tires; shocks; front pads; new Leer lid (old one blew off in a gust of wind). Needs plugs again and wires. Unfortunately, the performance sucks in comparison to the Lightning, but then everything else does, too.

Zymol is a decent product and smells pretty damn good too but, the protection (in my opinion) wasn't that great. Also, as it was mentioned prior, it just doesn't come off very easily. I found myself buffing and rubbing ALOT MORE with the zymol on a dark colored car (Cherry Red Lumina - My old car).

I'm addicted to Meguires Premium Paint Protectant. Goes on quick, comes off just as easy. Leaves a mirror shine like nothing I've used before. I love it... to date, it's the best by a long shot from the various products that I've used...

I haven't tried Zaino *yet*.

I used Zymol (the blue liquid cleaner wax that you can get at WalMart, not the really high-dollar stuff that sells for like 50 bones a jar) for quite a while on my black F150 and on my current dark highland green F150. I think it probably is at least slightly abrasive since it's a 'cleaner' wax (Intel486 can probably verify that for us). It definitely smells nice and creates a very good shine on dark colors, but it doesn't last very long, and I, personally, hate using liquid wax--I get it everywhere! About a year ago I switched to Blitz wax, which gives an even better shine and lasts AT LEAST twice as long, and I've been completely happy with it. I haven't tried Zaino either, mainly because I don't have a covered space in which to work where I can go through all necessary steps to get started, but I have never, ever heard anything but great feedback about Zaino products. Same can be said for all One Grand products; One Grand is the co. that makes Blitz wax and lots of other good stuff. A major difference is that Zaino products are sythetic, whereas Blitz wax is a natural carnuba.
It might be worth noting that it is actually Turtle Wax who makes the Zymol cleaner wax.
Hopefully Intel will chime in here with the expert info.

I tried zymol just a few weeks ago for the first time...
My beast came out looking great(I think it looked better then mothers) but it didn't last as long as mothers or other brands mentioned.

Same story with zymol, looked great when I was finished but seemed to fade after a week or so.

Used Zymol since truck was new (just16 months) have to say use the Zymol HD cleanse, its great for deepining a shine, and is not abbrasive at all great stuff, for wax i use the 50 a can Zymol titanium, extremly easy to remove and leaves a great shine for id say a little over a month and thats even in the Chicago winters, they also make a great wheel cleaner that i swear by, go to there web site and check the stuff out a lil pricy but you do get what you pay for, my truck is black so you know its hard to make it look good but Zymol has

i used zymol and it looked great, but it didnt seem to last very long. now i have lost of water spots permanently on my truck because i waited too long to wax it again. i just ordered 100 bucks worth of ziano and i am going to clay bar it and the whole deal. ill let you know how it works. for more info check out www.zianobros.com it must be great stuff because on overy webboard i have ever looked at there are tons of people raving about it.... so i bit the 100 buck bullet and i am going to give it a try.

Have used Zymol since the truck was new. Same experience as everyone else - goes on pretty easy, shines up really nice, smells great, and doesn't last very long at all.

It does manage to clean up small scratches with lots of elbow grease, don't know if that means it's abrasive or not.

Most of the Zymol bought in stores is a cleaner wax so yes, it is slightly abrasive.

I think Zymol might be owned by Turtle Wax.
