New Truck Care
I found this site while shopping for my new Screw and have gotten pretty well hooked. My question concerns the washing and care for a new truck.
I live in Socal so I don't have the ice and salt to worry about but my truck does stay out all the time. My specific concern is what to do with it to keep the exterior looking new. I've heard conflicting advise. One person told me to have it completey detailed ASAP and another has told me to just keep it cleaned and waxed.
Any advise on the subject of new truck care will be apreciated.

This is the easiest stuff I have ever used. Twice a year and it shines without streaks or swirles and doesn't look fake.
I have a 1998 F150 that looks as good as new.

Hey Intel486!
I'm also a new truck owner, 02 Supercrew KR, if you have some care info or tips can you also email them to me? I would greatly appreciate it.

In regards to the dash, just get a sunscreen for the windshield, keep the dash clean, and it will be fine for years. No need for wiping on any kind of goop, some of which may actually cause the dash to crack sooner.
If you have leather, just use a quality leather cleaner once a month or sooner. Condition it once every month or two. The leather will last for years.
If cloth, get it Scotch Guarded. Spills won't soak into the fabric.
