Request-Latest info on doorcrack fix.

My truck is still doorcrack free.
I ordered the doorcrack fix procedure B 7 months ago.

http://www.ultranet.com/~peloqun/doorcrack.html

Repairkit is still not here.

My dealer told me this afternoon that Ford had come up with a new fix.
The older kits didn't work out.

I guess, i'll have to wait a little bit longer

Has anyone info about these new repair kits?

The new fix

Has a plastic type block, uses Lord's private labeled two part expoxy to attach, vs, the metal piece orginally used.

Seems to be working.

Even though you ordered it under the old TSB (I assume you did), will they still do the preventitive fix for you? I'm curious, I thought the preventitive program was over.

WTF.

My dealer didn't tell me the preventative program was over.
They told me there was a new fix, that is what they ordered.
They had contact with Ford about it.

So, if the link above was an old TSB.
Where is the new TSB for the new fix.

If the preventative program is over when did that happen.
Anyone can confirm that about the program being over.

Cool Not over!

I am just back from a field trip with the gentleman who developed, tested, approved and wrote the present fix.

He stated, "the fix is in the field, the dealers know how to get it, they know how they are paid, they are told to do the fix, so what is the problem?"

I told John that there were dealers unaware or playing dumb, he stated for all of you to "push the hell out of the dealer's Service Manager, as Ford is paying for the fix."

That is about it, guys.

Cool Shouldn't be a problem

Shouldn't be, go to www.blueovalnews.com and take a look.

It is a warranty issue and regards manufacturing defect issues, so they have to fix it.

Don't let an uninformed Service Manager try to put you off.
