Lose the NXT; use Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Then top with Wet Glaze 2.0 (
Amazon.com: The Detail Shoppe Wet Glaze 2.0: Automotive Amazon.com: The Detail Shoppe Wet Glaze 2.0: Automotive
)

Really makes white and silver paint POP!

Liquid Glass. It's an old school product, but it's probably one of the easiest to use and longest lasting products I've ever tried. And it looks great. Some auto parts stores carry it or you can always buy from Amazon.

Wow -- that stuff is so "old school" it still comes in a metal can! I wonder if while you are using it the milk man pulls up and sets your weekly supply of cow juice by the front door.....

Might have to try it the next time I detail my Ranger -- I like the look of Nxt, but have to admit that it doesn't last all that long.

And in case you're wondering, I am just old enough to remember when milk was actually delivered like that! I can still remember the sound of his voice calling up the front stairway "Milk Man!" as he set the bottles inside our front door -- I grew up in Minnesota, so they had to set the milk inside or it would freeze in the winter!

I actually like that metal can. Haha. It's easy to use! Give it a try!

Today I added a coat of collinite 845 on top of the liquid glass. Looks great!

That looks great! How much time do you figure on those doing those 2 coats, not counting washing, prep, etc? Or was the LG already on and clean enough to put on the Collonite?

LG was already on there. It was clean and I only had to use quick detailer on it prior to collinite 845. I can put on and remove a coat of LG to the whole truck in 15 mins. Collinite 845, I went panel by panel, but that only took about 5 mins longer.

The thing I like best about LG is you can use it in the direct sun. It makes removing easier (you can see better) and you don't need to find a shady spot. LG also "bakes on" in the sun.

Luckily it was overcast because I hear collinite 845 gets tough to remove if you let it bake.

A search shows The Detail Shoppe is out of business.

Gonna have to look for it.
