Black Box by Turtle Wax

Anyone tried this? I see it is rated pretty good by users. I have a black Truck and don't have time for the Zaino.

There are other ways to take care of black, other than Zaino.

If you are looking for a quick fix that will last only a couple of days, and hides the issues with your paint instead of correcting them, then the Turtle wax will do fine for you.

If you want something to reflect your hard work, and last longer, then you need to use better products.

The vast majority of detailers that are worth a crap won't touch a turtle wax product with a 10 foot boar's head brush.

Just in case you didn't pick up on what I said above .. turtle wax is junk .. there are hundreds of better options.

that won't leave any white residue in rock chips. Can also be used on any surface. I would get the new version it has some updates.

Mini-Review

I was looking for something that would offer some light filling properties.
Hmmmm...Black PreCleaner, Black Carnauba Wax and Black Detail Spray.
It is not exactly what I wanted but it sounds like it should work.

The black truck I used it on was washed, clayed & polished via machine.

I applied the black precleaner
Removed it with the black detailing spray
Reapplied the black Carnuaba wax
removed it with the black detail spray.

Yes, all three products are black
Yes, it appears that it may be doing something.

It is NOT!

It is absolute JUNK and IMHO did not have the filling properties,
depth, gloss and appearance of Poorboy's Black Hole Glaze.

Don't waste you money on Turtle Wax Black Box!
Use Dr. Color Chip for paint chips and polish your paint!

I rewashed the truck with Dawn soap and had to start over.
IMHO Black Box was a complete waste of my money & my time.

Nice packaging and marketing to snag the unknowing consumer.

--- Yeah I know...but how do you really feel about it???

I can do three coats of Zaino Z-2 with ZFX in about 2-3 hours depending on (weather) drying time.
5-10 minutes to apply...drying time 30-45 minutes...remove...reapply...repeat. Max 3 times in one day.
By adding ZFX into the mix the cure time to remove and reapply another Z-2 coat is greatly reduced!

A product that I like that's "slicker & quicker" is Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (BFWD)

The cost is the same.
Zaino Z-2 and ZFX = $35
Blackfire Wet Diamond = $35

. I have pretty much gone away from OTC stuff and have been buying from our vendors here. And I have not been disappointed with any of the products.
