Need some advice...

... cause I'm being a little lazy here. Had all the info written down and can't find it and cannot seem to find exactly what I'm lookin for here... so, what I'm looking for is what order and with what pads (or by hand) to go over my SCrew in the next few weeks.

Here's what I've got:

Poorboys Black Hole
Poorboys EX-P
Megs #80
Megs #16
Megs High Tech Yellow Wax
Megs Scratch X 2.0
Megs Clear Coat Safe Rubbing Compound
Megs Clay Bar

Here's my pad assortment:

Black foam finish
Orange light cutting
Blue foam final finish
White foam polish

Plenty of microfibers, elbow grease and a PC7424. Am I missing anything?!

So, what order should I put these in, and what pad (or by hand) should I use?

I know... lazy. But at least I know where to go for the professional advice!

Unless you are really in love with #80 (it does have great polishing oils), you might want sub it for 205 in the professional line, or even try swirlx or the new Ultimate Polish which are derived from the 205 formula.

I guess the major difference is #80 has diminishing abrasives where as the other have non-diminishing abrasives.

Good luck and post up pics!

Don't you love this time of year... everyones pulling out the supplies and getting their rides ready after a long messy winter.

You have a decent assortment of supplies there and in various combinations all the stuff you should need to do a decent job. If you need anything from us I'm always willing to make recommendations

I haven't touched her yet besides the 'quick' inside/outside winter clean-up, but I need to get to it in the next week or so.

After the wash, clay, Scratch X 2.0, Black Hole and EX-P... would it be redundant to throw on a coat of #16?

I know anything that protects all the previous work and the paint isn't redundant, but figured I'd ask.

Any thoughts/suggestions for steps in between?

I may be mistaken, but isn't black Hole more of a "trick" ... meaning a cover/quick fix? I read on the Cafe that someone used it for a show just to cover up the imperfections.

Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze is formulated exclusively for dark colored vehicles. The glaze cleans and fills light swirl marks to leave a brilliant, glossy, slick show car shine. Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze can be applied any time to hide minor imperfections and to enhance gloss on black, red, and all dark vehicles.
No, you're not mistaken. But combined and 'covered' with a LSP like Meg's #16, Collinite, etc, it's an effective glaze that will bring back the glossy wet look.

I'm no detailing expert, but that's how I understand it.

Yeah that's true... I would rather get everything I could out with 105/205 and then seal it up good or top it with carnuba for some pop
