This is what Nick at AutoGeek recommended to me.

I have it but haven't used it yet, I still have to wash/clay/polish my boat first.

When dealing with boats the general rule of thumb is it takes MORE...
as in more aggressive approaches to correct gelcoat than it does car paint & more durable waxes/sealants to protect and stand up to the conditions.
Just completed a ski boat a few weeks back... even though it was in relatively good shape ended up needing the Flex with our Swirl & Haze Remover to knock down some of the haze on the hull, followed up with a quick pass of Fine Machine Polish to gloss it out again. Then sealed it up with our Machine Superwax.

I've been boating for over 45 years and detailing (mostly cars) for over 10 years. And yes, boats are tougher in every way. If you want a great kit, Meguiar's makes a Marine Oxidation Remover kit that's actually pretty good. That's assuming you have oxidation to remove of course.
As for Collonite products, I love the 845 Insulator wax, but they make a marine wax that's specially formulated for the environment. Remember, boats get exposed to far more UV rays than any car. Consumer Reports tested it many years ago and recommended it.
My current boat (a 1992 22' Progression that still looks like new), has always had either Zaino, or as of late, Duragloss Marine Polish on it. They're about the easiest on and off LSP's I've ever used. And if you ever saw my boat, you'd have to agree they work.

thanks guys. i am going to look into the collonite, zaino and duragloss but may be a little bias to the zaino as i have used their products in the past on my z28 with great results did not know the had marine products. the boat is in good shape and doesnt need anything to aggressive just a good detail the boat is a 2008 seahunt

Scuse me - this *IS* online.....................
BTW, It took me a little while to find this, but here's a picture of my deck from a couple of years ago. I believe that would make it about 17 years old (with zero fade) at the time. All Zaino at that time. Kinda hard to argue with huh?
