Cool Reccomended Waxing Products

I just thought I would post what I used on my truck this morning and got fantastic results.

My truck was starting to show some swirl marks and some fine scratches (not bad after two years of daily driving). I took a trip to my local auto body supply store and asked the guy behind the counter what he reccomended I do to make it look better. He gave me 3 products which gave me terrific results.

STEP 1: CLAY MAGIC BLUE CLAY BAR. Just rubbed this all over the truck with a solution of car wash and water to lubricate. This removed all the surface contaminates (even those pesky little black dots, who knows what they are or where they come from).

STEP 2: MEGUIARS #9 PROFESSIONAL SWIRL REMOVER. This product cleans and polishes the paint. It also removes any fine swirl marks. The end results of this is a deep gloss finish.

STEP 3: MEGUIARS #26 HI-TECH YELLOW WAX. This product provides a high gloss protection on the finish you just acheived. It claims to be a blend of carnuba wax and "other costly ingredients".

I can honestly say that after 4 hours of work, I believe the finish is more glossy and smoother than the day I bought my truck. All the swirl marks are gone. People make reccomendations on this board all the time, but I say save you money and do what I did, this method really works.

I waxed my truck today with Meguiars Gold Wax and really like the way it made my truck shine. I used the paste but I think the liquid may be easier to apply.

Cool

I just used Meguiar's Deep Crystal System (Paint cleaner, polish, wax) today on my truck. Not too pricey (about $5 a bottle) and I like the results .... made my dull-looking coat on my 97 shine again!

Zaino's not in the budget right now, and it took me long enough to just do that, much less all the waiting and drying and multiple coats Zaino needs ... I'll take what I can get right now.

Zaino is easy for me to use. I don't have the best paint job on a 98 F150 4x4 for nothin.
