Chemical guys?

I've been looking at some of they're stuff. It looks good to me. Anybody have any experience with them? I'm looking for a good long lasting wax.

Chemical Guys make tons of products and OEM's for many more....Griots, Adams etc....

A wax is only as good as the prep work. If you are not following the process below you are only wasting wax. I will say that Chemical Guys makes one of the best sealers out there. Sealers and Wax's have a slightly different look. If you are new to the detailing game you probably won't notice. If want a super easy sealant to use, it doesn't get any easier than Opti-Seal. If you want a good easy on easy off wax, any of the PB Nattys will do the job. Even OTC wax's are ok but stay away from the ICE crap.

Wash
Clay
Polish/Correct
Seal/Wax

If I do the correct detail steps:

-dawn,rinse
-shampoo,rinse
-clay,rinse
-compound
-swirl remover
-polish
-wax

how often do i need to re apply wax? and how often do i need to repeat all steps? how many washes and weeks/months?

Eliminate the Dawn wash. The clay will remove the wax that's still on it.

You can indefinitely extend the time between waxes if you use something like Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax after each wash job. Spray it on and wipe it off, just like you would a quick detailer. Repeat all steps when your eyes tell you it needs it.

Ok. One last question... My truck is brand new... Only has 3000 miles on it and the paint doesn't seem that deep.

Definitely don't Dawn it - and you probably do not need the compound either. Use the least aggressive product you can to achieve the desired results.
