Just want to run this by the PROS!
So I went to the store and got some products to take care of my SCREW...
This will be my first time actually trying to take care of paint. On my old trucks I did use quality car wash but never waxed or polished it.
Heres what I have:
1. Meg's Gold Car wash (soft sponge, brush for the hard stuff)
2. MF towels to dry
3. Mothers Clay Bar kit w/ Instant Detailer
4. Mothers CA Gold Step 1 Pre Wax Cleaner
5. Mothers CA Gold Step 2 Sealer and Glaze
6. Mothers FX Synwax
7. Rain X Spray for all Exterior Glass
I figured I can use the Instant Detailer for in between washes. I am still researching Chrome wheel cleaning and polish and also Tire cleaner and "black".
Just wanted to see how this pans out to you guys who have a LOT more knowledge than I do!
Thanks fellas!

While a lambs wool mitt is probably the best, I do also like the soft (there are a few different types) grout like sponges as well. Megs also had them in their car care kite (I bought 10 of them when they were $5). I've used both and I'm still leaning toward the mitt being best but I've always had a problem with the wool pulling free and getting stuck all over the vehicle. Not a big deal but annoying.
I also don't like Rain X. Too difficult to remove in order not to leave some haze. I find I can get the same affect using just a tad bit of wax instead.

You shouldn't have clayed until you were ready to clean/wax. Now that you have clayed, you're stripped everything on the surface. Don't go too long like that. Plus, I hope it goes without saying you'll need to wash immediately before you start cleaning and waxing...no driving or sitting around outside between those steps. No need to reclay as long as you don't wait too long and the surface still feels good with no contaminants on it.
