If you want to to really gleam, the next wax do a wash with Dawn to strip any existing wax. Clay bar it if possible. Do one of the step systems with a paint prep/cleaner, polish, then top it with the carnuba wax.

Question

Dunbarton
I love liquid glass. I use the polish/finish stuff (contains no wax). Is this carnauba wax that much better?

mrau1,

Don't misunderstand, I have some Liquid Glass remaining and it will all be used.

Tha Wax Shop wax was easier to put on, it's near the consistency of water and no white residue on the plastic trim to clean off, no white dust, etc. If it lasts as long as the LG then LG is history.

98SCREAMER,

Yes, I have never heard anything bad about the Zymol products either. I was low on Liquid Glass, stopped at Pep Boys, and from other good comments here about The Wax Shop products, I figured WTF and "went for it." Zymol could be next when I run out ....

Yep,I love the stuff. The only wax I would use before that was the Meguiars in the red tub. They changed the formula a few years back and switched to a petroleum based one.:-( It made alot of dust but you could rinse it off..... It leaves oily streaks like Finish 2001,now. Yuck!!
I'm hoping to buy a buffer soon,my truck has hairline scratches all over it=-(

I tried Zymol for the first time last weekend and was really impressed. I went on easy and came off much easier than anything else I have used in the past. I used to use Meguiars gold.

Red face

Arghhhhh! I asked my wife to pick up some more Zymol at the local Walmart this Saturday and they claim they don't carry it. HUH? They used to carry it.

Any suggestions where to get a new supply?

You fellas might want to check out www.autofanatics.com. The guy has a nice little niche e-biz and specializes in really fine car care products. You'll find your Zymol there. I've had great success with Blitz Wax. My neighbor (Dodge Ram, poor soul) continually comments about my shine. Seems to last a bit longer than the Zymol, which is great stuff too. I've also pitched all my terrycloth rags. All I use now are diapers. You can find them in Sears. Gerber makes them, but I'm sure others do too. Launder them a few times and they're soft as.......here it comes..........a baby's behind.
