Tire black (wet)
Tire black (wet)
Hey guys need some help I been detailing for a little bit now but need some help. Whats the best product to get your tires a wet shine. I've tried foam and it just hasen't cut it. (i have the armorall foam and it makes the tires look like crap. I ve heard a couple things that are good. Meguiars gold class endurance gel I heard is good but its $9 so kinda to much. Also the day i picked up my truck the tires were the best Ive ever seen so whatever dealers have is awsome but proboly can't get. So what do you guys use that works?
Thanks for your help Jim

Two coats on NXT Insane Shine Aerosol on well-cleaned tires is...insane. I've done that and had bright sunspots on my tires from the sun reflecting off of them. Cleaning the tires properly though is key.
Hyper dressing! Make sure you are cleaning your tires before spraying the product on the tires. If you keep applying stuff to the tires its just going to sling off or just roll off the tire. A nice clean tire will always yeild better results when using tire spray.
I'm 100% against heavy dressings as people then usually complain that they either can't keep them clean or they never look good. Want to know why.... because there is so much crap already on the tire.
On that line, part of the problem might be that your tires are not clean. You need to get all that junk off of them that you put on.
I use either HD at 3:1 (very light application) or 303's Aerospace Protectant.

How does Adam's Super VRT compare to Meguiar's Hyperdressing or Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel?
I have used Armor All for the last 2-3yrs on my Mazda CX-9 and it lasts a few weeks, depending on the weather. Now that I have my truck and its rugged tires (and brake-dust spewing front wheels), I am looking for something that doesnt retain a lot of dirt but is still durable.
I like the versatility of Adams Super VRT and the Hyper Dressing, but Adam's SuperVRT is expensive. If HyperDressing is somewhat sticky like this early review indicates, then it will do the same as the Armor All. Any ideas?

I buy it from autodetailingsolutions.com. It is kinda on the high side, but it dilutes down and will last you a while. I love it and its definitely worth it to me. Makes the tires and wheel wells "pop".

Meguiars gold class endurance gel, even though its expense I think its probably some of the best stuff out there. I apply it with the foam applicator and then take a rag and wipe the excess off while kinda messaging it in (I've had the same bottle for about 6 months and wash my truck at least 1x a week).
