Only thing worse then etched in hard water spots is etched in bird droppings. The bird droppings left to bake in will reek havoc on your paint.

Agreed with one of the other posters in that neither wax nor sealant will prevent etched in water spots entirely if they have had a chance to bake in for awhile. Out of the two, I actually thing a good nuba wax will do a better job of at least keeping it to a level where you can get if off easier.

Maybe throw a cover over your Truck if you think the almighty sprinkling gods may strike again.

Next time try some Megs SwirlX and see if you cant get anywhere with that. In fact the entire lineup of Meguiars consumer products from least aggressive to most aggressive are tamer than 105 and shouldn't affect your clear coat at all.

Least aggressive - SwirlX - then ScratchX 2.0 and finally Ultimate Compound. They're not expensive and worth a try.

Once you get a good coat of wax on it, then use a good QD to go after any new water spots. But ya gotta get'em soon or your back to square one again.

I think that it sucks that you don't have any room in the yard or in front of your home to park.

Water spots .... UGH!
