Painting Brackets

Ive been in the long process of building a 1977 f150 as a toy and with the engine and tranny in the shop to get machined/ rebuilt i have some time on my hands and i want to do something with the truck. I was looking at some of the tranny brackets and the engine compartment and was thinking what could i paint them that would hold up to snow dirt and mud? Im looking at painting the brackets, the part of the frame and mounts thats in the engine compatment, and maybe the driveshafts. So far ive put a new gas tank in and i painted that with Rubberized undercoating but im not sure how it would hold up

I'd use standard Rustoleum.

POR-15? Not sure how that will hold up, especially against gravel, but it couldn't be any worse than spray paint.

Any pics of the '77?

POR-15 is pretty expensive to use as a general purpose coating.

so now ive decided my going to sand blast the frame and coat it with either this http://www.kbs-coatings.com/KBS-Fram...-Kit_p_26.html or POR-15. My question is how much do i need, 1 quart or 1 gallon? also i sand blasted the engine compartment and radius arms and then painted them with spray paint, so can i brush this stuff right over the paint or do i have to blast back down to bare metal?
