Wink Her 10th yr spring detail

10 years of Michigan winters starting to take a toll.

Over the yrs I tryed to keep it nice as I could , from painting the underside every few yrs and keeping up with the topside with Meg's 3 step system.

This year it was time to give her belly a new coat of bling for all those Pruis drivers to look at
Gave her a fresh brush tickling of gloss black Rust-o-leum and a squirt or two from the rattle can for the hard to get spots.
Keeping the belly coated over the years has really helped kept it in good shape . I started to do the inside of my doors when they started to go and the Rustoleum has stopped them from rusting out more...hole has stopped growing for the past 2 yrs

For the topside she has the signs of age ..chips/scratches and blisters.
Also a film of over spray form years of wheel well touch ups.
Since it was so gritty and rough I wanted to smooth it out this year . I did'nt know if the clay bar would work since I've never used one . So I went back to "old school" ways.
3000 grit wet sanded the whole thing and then used Meg's ultimate compound and carnuba wax.

For 10 years old and some elbow love, she's ready to go cruising another summer

The Salt / Brine that they use here in Omaha, Ne during the winters makes everything rust out sooper fast. I do what you do just maybe not as often as I should. You truck looks sweet!

156k on the unit itself , 45k on the motor.
Had to have it rebuilt due to upper motor rattle(timing chains).
Dealer wanted to drop new one in for 8k,Had the old one built for 4k on the side.

Lucky for me at the time...timing chains were grinding on the oil pump...just about through when we tore it down .

Other then that and a few minor issues that's known to go, it's been a good truck.
