I heard there was some stuff to rub on ur lense of your headlights and let it sit and it will take the grime look off of them and be clear and as good as new.. Does anyone know what this stuff is called or how to get some?

Grime is one thing... UV damage is another. If its external grime then I use clay to clean them. If they are faded then you can use PlastX, some other type of restorer or even a polish to bring them back. Keep in mind that this is going to remove some/all of the UV protectant on the headlight but if they are fading then it's probably gone already. You should coat them with a good wax to protect them from further UV damage.

Just like a polish---toothpaste is a light abrasive.

Letting it sit won't do anything---it's the rubbing that does it.

What I did in the how-to is very simple. The wet-sanding takes the top layer of "crap" off the headlights. After wet-sanding that cloudy layer is gone, but your headlights look hazy. This is due to all the small scratches in them from the wet-sanding. These small scratches are why you need the polish.

The polish is similar to wet-sanding in a way, except it's a lot less abrasive than sanding. It's just enough to take out the scratches. When the scratches are polished out you get your clear headlights again. Then add your protection (clear coat).
