Car got egged last night
Well, the Mustang got egged last night. not too worried about cleaning up the paint (already done) but my question is...some got down the vent under the wipers and I know it's going to start and stink in the car very shortly. I don't really want to be lazy but for now is there anything I can pour or dump down the vent other than febreeze to "kill" the smell until I can get the car apart this weekend? I hate the smell of rotten eggs, especially when it's getting colder out and you want to crank the heat!
Any help appreciated,
Thanks!

I also have a couple of those deodorizer's spray cans for mold and mildew in heater core's. Maybe I will give that a shot in the meantime. I just moved and maybe the new landlord will let me use his garage to take it apart this weekend
You know, around. Lurking in the shadows. Only so many times you can answer the same questions in a certain period of time without going insane.
hahaha, I did it as a kid a couple of times too, so I had to just laugh. they just hit the windshield with what looks to be three eggs. I already washed the outside down at lunch today and the local wand wash.
Now I have the not so fun job of removing the wiper cowl and getting into the intake box...oh well.
If it happens again, the paintball gun is coming out and they little buggers' will get it.

An old farmer in my area used to unload "salt shots" from a shot gun on the unruly youth in my area. (guess we should have chosen to ride our old YZ's somewhere else.) My old man used to tell me "If you take a hit, you deserved it. And stop riding in that farmers damned field!" LOL. Same strategy would probably work in your egging. I'd guess that's not politically correct any more. You'd probably get sued by some enabling parent who should have been keeping an eye on their kid(s) rather than watching reruns of Jerry Springer while eating 3lb bags of Doritos with a supersized diet coke and complaining about how the teachers pick on their little angels at school when they never see any misbehaviors at home.
Dang it! I just slipped and fell off my soap box!

X2 ... I'll help you up if you help me up
Pulled the air inlet vent apart, not too difficult, thankfully very little egg actually made it past the mesh. cleaned it up with a little superclean and sprayed a wee bit of febreeze and all seems to be good.
Thanks for the help. If it does happen again though, I will be pulling out the paintball gun, they won't even what/who hit'em!

You got lucky. An egg can cause a good amount of damage...

It's too bad when prank's end up turning into $$$ when the wrong people have to pay for it.
I'm very glad that didn't happen, although my car isn't near as clean as the Pontiac. Impact for him was probably worse since he was moving. Thankfully, they only hit the windshield.

I have been keeping an eye on it, and thankfully I haven't found any damage to the hood or front fenders. It's very good for people to know to make sure they do let the insurance company know, as we all know it isn't cheap to re-paint a panel.
My hood is in pretty rough shape and is being replaced with a '95 Cobra R hood that I just need to bolt on, but I'm waiting until spring to put it on. It's meant to be my DD, but I can't help but buy stuff for it!
