what kind of products will clean and give a new shine to the chrome truck boxes? thanks.

 

Lowes has a tool box polish that sits on the same isle as the chrome tool boxes that I have had good luck with. I will see if I can find the name.

 

That would be Diamond Brite. It's primarily for stainless steel, and works real well with a Mother's Powerball.

 

I have a black box now, but when I work on them and when I used to have one I used Meguiar's Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish paired with a cotton wheel with good results. Though limited knowlege on the other stuff. I've heard the "flitz" name tossed around a lot for this.

 

I bet if you use one of those products to polish it up, then sealed it with something like Opti-Seal or another polymer sealant, it'll keep it looking great.

I haven't tried it, but I know it's worked well on things like the wheels on my mustang.

i use nevr-dull (yes i spelled i right) on my chrome bumpers/side steps. works great. it can be hard to get your hands on tho. wally world carries it but i never had any luck. Get mine from ace hardware
