I was pondering this very same ? at AutoZone earlier today. Sorry I can't answer, I'll sit back and wait till someone does.

I've only used the liquid. I really like the application and removal of it.

I wonder what the benefit is to the paste? I am very curious to see what the experts around here say.

Liquid here as well. I will take a shot at answering this. Paste you apply with the applicator pad and you can with liquid as well, but if you use a DA, then a liquid would make more sense because you can appliy it to the pad on the DA and then work it into the paint and reap the full benefits of it. You could probably put the paste on the truck and then use a DA to really work it but that would be silly and extremely ineffective time wise. For someone that just wants a coat of Synthetic wax on their truck and is not into the whole detailing scene, it boils down to preference.

I go with the liquid...

and apply it with the DA. It's so fast and easy on and off and applies like liquid butter. Less than 10 minutes to do the truck....
I guess you could scoop a little past out of the can and wipe it on the pad and still use a machine but unless you are doing it by hand I see no advantages using paste over liquid.

Thanx TG.That NXT makes my paint look so much darker and wetter! I'm planning a trip back home (Louisiana) for Thanxgiving and my friend is going to do a complete paint detail before I leave;wash, clay, wash,Megs polish,NXT.I can't wait to see what it looks like after that!

Yeah that would look great... you should add in meg's #26. I got it at Autozone. I did clay, Meg#7, NXT 2.0 then Meg #26 and it looked great! I want to get DA this winter so I can get even better results and do more details for people.

NXT has some abrasives, and will remove anything under it. Use either LG or NXT, then try topping with pure carnauba.
