Boars Hair brush(Pro's Please Help)

Whats up guys havent wrote in a while hope all is well,

My truck went threw a serious tranformation this winter, i Threw a 8" RIZE on it some train horns and a couple other things.

Since its pretty up there now its kinda hard to wash.

Im a perfectionist and havent settled for anything less than a Poorboys washmitt 2 bucket method and only a select few of my MF's to dry.

I was looking at autogeek today and saw the boars hair brush and was wondering if its safe to use. Because it would deffinitly be 20 times easier.I will be putting my truck in some shows this year and i have a very bad feeling that their is not much clear on the truck, so i dont want to have to do some paint correction.

Thanks in advance
-Sal

They're considered by many pros to be the best wheel brush out there.

I wasn't sure from your post but working on assumptions...

It's not for use on paint at all. You won't find a brush for that.

Try using one of these for the hard to reach areas.

Why do you think there is not much clear on the truck?

I've actually seen a discussion on another site where the boars hair was recommended for the paint. I wouldn't use it but that's me. I just can't see good things coming from it.

I wouldn't doubt that, I mean the brush is actually super soft the only problem Is that it would hold the grit on the hairs closest to the paint. I mean maybe we should think about it and vote in favor for paint MAYBE!! I mean keeping it very sudys and running across a grit guard after every pass would help. I'm thinkin outloud so just tell me what you think

I'm a firm believer in trying things out for yourself. If the cost of the rush isn't an issue, then I said pick one up, and use your normal wash technique and the brush technique during the same wash for a few washes and see if it's causing any ill effects. Since you have a crew cab, maybe wash the front door normally and the rear door with the brush. Examine after each wash. It may take one wash or it may take several before you notice anything depending on how much damage (if any) is being done. It's nothing that you can't correct and even better if you keep it to one panel, the correction will be minimal if there is any at all.

Try it out and see what happens. People make claims all the time and they can help steer you in the direction to make your decision but you'll never know for sure until you try it yourself. On a black truck, it shouldn't take long to get results.

I did a search on the forum I saw it discussed on. There are numerous threads about it and it seems there is a resident BHB "specialist" there as well. From what I gather, it can be very safe, or you can marr the crap out of your paint.

That last link has a decent write-up.
