got the g110 with 2 8006 and 1 9006 pad, 34, 40, 2, 7, 26, and 00. as well as a clay kit, pack of microfibers, and hyperwash all for about $240

a tin of #16, 2 packs of microfibers, 2 water magnets, 80 and 9 for $50

grit guard was $8 at the adams tent

What else would you recommend i add as far as
polishes/paintcorrection etc.
how many/ what kind of pads.

Looks good, you should get another grit guard for using the two bucket method. As far as polishes/ paint correction, you should be fine with what you have, it may just take a few passes of 80 on some cars. You should get one separate pad for each product that you have as well as probably one extra pad each.

 

are megs pads decent? I was thinking about the 6 pack deal from ads

and what's a step up from 80? I think it's 83 but i'm not sure.. I saw on another forum 83 is hard to work with on a da?

 

The 6 pack deal from ads would be a great way to go. 83 is more aggressive than 80, and the reason people say it is hard to work with on a DA is because sometimes it will leave behind a haze on the paint and you have to follow up with a less aggressive product such as 80 to make it back to normal again. I have never used 2, but it looks like it is more aggressive than 80. I have used 83 and it is all dependent on the paint. I have used it without hazing and other times I have, but it isn't anything that will ruin your paint.

That's a pretty nice collection you got going there. I wish I had a whole cabinet like that. All my stuff is just crammed onto a few shelves in a cabinet in the garage, nearly explodes each time I open the cabinet door haha. How much was that cabinet?

 

the cabinet was like 270? I think that's the price now. We brought the wall cabinet and the workbench too.

I really like Optimum products. Optimum Spray Wax, Opti-Seal and their new Instant Detailer are all very good. Try the Spray Wax once and you will be hooked. It really looks nice and its easy to use. Danase Wet Glaze is great too. How do you like the Adams stuff? I've never tried it. Looks like you are set for a while. Very nice.
